Raft benches
Bradfield College, Oxfordshire
In 2018 we were commissioned by the college to design and make a series of benches for use by teenagers.
These Raft benches have substantial oak boards set on a galvanised steel frame, with oak legs and back rests.
We made three units – a large one to surround a newly planted cherry tree, and two smaller ones.
The Raft benches are designed to provide a wide choice of seating positions, both formal and informal. They have proven very popular with teenagers at the college.
