Traditional oak pergola
Bicester Eco-Village pocket park, Oxfordshire
In 2016 we installed this traditional pergola in a public garden area of the new eco-village area in Bicester.
Substantial oak posts are set directly into the ground and support 150x50mm beams with traditional mortice and tenon jointed braces.
The pergola provides an attractive focal point in the centre of the space. It visually breaks up the open space, and creates an attractive place to sit.
